Activities

Conferences

The students of our master´s program organize and host a annual convention focused on developments and trends in the cultural sector as well as challenges for museums and institutions alike.

“HTW Werkschau” yearly exhibition

The annual exhibition “Werkschau” allows everybody who is interested in the different projects at HTW to see for themselves which projects the students are (or have been) working on. It is usually held at the end of the summer semester over two days in July.

Cooperation

We cooperate with various institutions and scientists in the fields of research, teaching and further education.

Among them are many local museums, cultural institutions and third-party-providers who ensure that our students can network and gain insights into different work cultures. The contribution of employees of The Jewish Museum Berlin, Stadtmuseum Berlin or The Institute for Museum Research enables us to offer students a working, practice-oriented approach.

International Projects

Over the recent years we have been able to strengthen our international relations and activities. Annually we offer several exchange programmes, field trips and excursions to Europe and the rest of the world.

Notable is our involvement in the planning of the Museum of Jainism in Pune, India, as well as our partnership with the archive and museum of Sancti Spiritus, Cuba, which resulted in an exhibition on the German-Argentinian revolutionary - Tamara Bunke.

Other field trips have taken our students to the museums of Athens, London and Warsaw.
